Homicide

                On January 26, 2025, just after 3:00 AM, Officers of the Pine Bluff Police Department responded to a report of gunshots in the area of the West End Pool Hall at 3303 W. 2nd Ave. While in route, the officers were informed that callers were stating that someone had been shot. Officers arrived to find a male lying on the street next to a vehicle in front of 3303 W. 2nd Ave. The male had apparent gunshot wounds and was unresponsive. He was later pronounced dead by a representative of the Jefferson County Coroner's office.

                   It is early in the investigation at the time of this release. The circumstances leading up to this murder are still being determined and there is no suspect information to release at the time of this release. The identity of the deceased is not being released pending notification of next of kin.
