Reported Self-inflicted Shooting being investigated as a Homicide

                On January 21, 2025, just before midnight, Officers of the Pine Bluff Police Department responded to a report that a person had shot themselves near 6401 W. Jones. When officers arrived, they found 18-year-old Patrick Coleman Jr. lying in the street in the 6400 block of W. Jones. Coleman had an apparent gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene. Officers were informed that there were several people with the male at the time he was shot. All had left the scene prior to officers' arrival. Some of those present at the time of the death have been located and are being questioned at the time of this release. Detectives are investigating this death as a homicide until proven otherwise.
