The Pine Bluff Police Department is urging everyone to stay alert this holiday season as scammers are becoming increasingly active. These individuals are targeting both businesses and consumers with fraudulent schemes, especially during the busy shopping period.

 

Tips to Protect Yourself:

 

• Be Cautious with Payments: Avoid wiring money or purchasing gift cards for unknown individuals.

• Verify Before You Pay: Always confirm the legitimacy of calls, texts, or emails requesting payments or sensitive information.

• Check Your Statements: Regularly review bank and credit card statements for any unauthorized transactions.
