On June 16, 2024, just after midnight, Officers of the Pine Bluff Police Department responded gunshots fired at Saracen Landing. Shortly after the gunshots call went out, four shooting victims arrived at Jefferson Regional Medical Center by personal vehicle. Officers responded to both locations with a crime scene located in the west side of the parking lot at Saracen landing.
Three of the victims had what appear to be non-life-threatening injuries. One of the victims had sustained serious injuries. He was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at the emergency room. The homicide victim has been identified as 20-year-old Corey Berrien.
This homicide is still in the early stages of the investigation at the time of this release and the circumstances leading to this murder are still under investigation. There is no suspect information to release at this time.
